AKVAN Savushun LP

Really cool EP from this Iranian band blending raw Black Metal with traditional Persian instrumentation and themes! "Savushun" is a deeply emotional and a war cry of cultural identity, mourning, and resistance. Inspired by the Persian ceremony of the same name, the album draws from history, literature, and mythology to deliver a uniquely intense and atmospheric experience. The EP's title is taken from the eponymous book written by Dr. Simin Daneshvar, widely regarded as the first novel published by an Iranian woman.
